Setting up Suffolk Online Webspace

Connecting to Webspace
If you wish to have free webspace you will need to call the Suffolk Online Helpdesk and have this setup for you.
You will first need to download a FTP Program from the Internet. FTP Allows you to transfer your website from your computer to our servers. You can visit www.download.com and type in the search box FTP Client. We would either recommend WS-FTP or Smart FTP or Core FTP.
The instructions below will be for setting up your website using WS FTP Pro.
1. Firstly you will need to create a site in your FTP Program, Otherwise each time you load this you will need to re-enter all the information again. So to do this you will need to click on create site on the right hand side of the following window:
It will then ask you what you want your site to be known as so enter a name then click nexrt at the bottom of the screen.
Click into the Host Name box and type in homepages.suffolkonline.net
Enter in the FTP username and password that we have supplied to you
Click Ok
You should then see a screen a screen like this. Click Connect
3. Once you have clicked connect you will see the following screen.
4. You should see the screen as above. You simply then need to locate your website files in the left hand window, hold down your left mouse button and drag them to the right hand side box. These will then be copied over to your webspace and be live on the Internet.
