Setup Suffolk Online E-Mail in Outlook Express for Windows 98,ME,2000,XP

If you are finding yourself unable to get online then this can be due to a number of reasons. Here are the steps to follow in order to either setup a connection from scratch or to delete an exisiting connection and resetup again.

Setting up Suffolk Online E-Mail in Outlook Express 5 & 6

  • Click 'Start'.
  • Open Outlook Express
  • Click on Tools

            

  • Go down to Accounts
  • Select Add on the right hand side

            

  • Click on Mail
  • In the display name box type in Your name and click on Next at the bottom

          

  • In the email address box type in your Suffolk Online E-mail address and click on Next at the bottom.

          

  • Make sure that 'My incoming mail server is set to POP3
  • In the incoming mail(POP3) box type in: pop3.suffolkonline.net
  • in the outgoing mail(SMTP) box type in: relay.suffolkonline.net

         

  • Select Next from the bottom
  • In the account name box type in the first part of your email address before the @. symbol.
  • Click into the password box and type in your email address password

         

  • Click Next
  • Click Finish
  • Click Close on the bottom right.
