Setup a Dialup Connection in Apple Mac OS X
If you are finding yourself unable to get online then this can be due to a number of reasons. Here are the steps to follow in order to either setup a connection from scratch or to delete an exisiting connection and resetup again.
Creating the connection.
- Select the Prefences Icon from the 'Dock' on the bottom of the screen.

In 'Preferences' locate the section labelled ' Internet & Network'

- Click on Network
- Click the Internal Modem icon down the left hand side.

- Select 'PPP' from the interface Selection Box.
- In the service provider box type in 'Suffolk Online'
- Enter your username in the accountname box this can be in the form of 'username' or 'username@suffolkonline.net'. This should also be in your welcome letter.
- Click in the password box and enter your password. This should of also been included in your welcome letter.
- In the phone number box enter the Phone number given to your by Suffolk Online. If your not sure what this is ring the helpdesk on the number below or you can view our page on general settings page and find the number according to the package your on.

- Select the save password box and go down to Apply Now.
- If you select the 'Dial Now' and this will test the connection and show you if your connected in the top right.
- If you wish no one to tamper with the settings select the padlock in the bottom left. You will need to click on this again if you wish to change the settings again.
