Setup a Dialup Connection in Windows 98
If you are finding yourself unable to get online then this can be due to a number of reasons. Here are the steps to follow in order to either setup a connection from scratch or to delete an exisiting connection and resetup again.
Creating the connection.
- Click 'Start'
- Go upto programs and accessories
- Locate in communications ''Dialup Networking'.
- Right Click over Suffolk Online and Left Click on Delete if you already have a Suffolk Online Dialup Connection Setup
- If asked if your sure you want to delete the connection select 'Yes'
- To create a new connection click on 'Make a new connection'
- In the wizard that appears type in the name 'Suffolk Online' Into the Connection Name Box
- Select Next
- In the area Code Box Leave Blank and in the Telephone Number Box enter in the dialup number given to you by Suffolk Online. If your not sure what this is ring the helpdesk on the number below or you can view our page on general settings page and find the number according to the package your on.
- Make sure the country code is set to United Kingdom (44)
- Select Next
- Select Finish
- Restart your Computer
