What's happened so far?
The dates are confirmed as Thursday 9 th July to Sunday 12 th July
The project team have been very busy organising and so far we've contacted all local groups we can find including schools, artists and musicians, dancers, shops and other local businesses, the Parish and Mid Suffolk Councils and the local Churches.
A meeting was held on 30th March in the Angel to introduce the concept and provide information to anyone who would like to take part
Funding for the event is being sought and applications have been submitted to MSDC which we hope to hear about soon. Eddie Alcock has provided £500 from the Locality funding so a big 'Thank You' goes to Eddie.

What we still need
There are lots of opportunities to showcase what your group may already be doing, or to do something
creative especially for the event. There are also opportunities for fund-raising if you are a charity or for promoting your business, your skills and talent, or your creative abilities.
We had a great response at the meeting but we still need lots of people to help by staging events, working with the project team on organisation and logistics, or just volunteering help when it comes to the festival itself.
Volunteers are needed to organise the Sunday Music event, we need poets, dancers, performance artists and buskers, comedians, visual artists and many more......Let your imagination run riot and tell us what you can do.....
We have contact and events information forms available if you would like to take part in the festival so please email us using the details listed below.

A new Debenham Arts Festival website is being created and will be ready soon but meanwhile keep checking the Village Website for info.
